I remember when my Colin started getting broader shoulders. I was sad when his voice started breaking and getting deeper. But he's still gorgeous.

A problem for mums down the ages, having to acknowledge they don't stay babies forever and having to learn to let go, (but not too fast). But don't worry about him being taller than you, just imagine how useful for reaching those top shelves...

Yes it can seem difficult for Mum's letting go, but for Dad's there's the prospect of futile competition over absolutely everything and the certain knowledge that in the end there'll only be one winner.
